About Us

Started by an honest mechanic, working on cars out of the back of a pick-up truck. We have grown over the years but still maintain an old-fashioned car repair shop feel, that is run by actual mechanics. We are best known for customer service and attention to detail – performing everything from regular maintenance work to major electrical and mechanical repairs as well as offering body and paint shop services.

Our focus has always been Hondas and Acuras, but we have branched out over the last 10 years to include many other makes and models.

Located on Ritchie Highway (RT.2) in Pasadena, close to Severna Park, we are open Monday-Friday from 8:00am-5:00pm for drop-off and waiting appointments (call for availability).

New Name

Same Service, Same Quality

Independent Auto Center has been servicing vehicles for over 30 years but for the first 25 years we were known as Hondamans. The name change was initiated by Honda, related to trademark concerns. We are still owned and operated daily by the original Hondaman -- we just don't call him Hondaman anymore.

With exception of business cards, invoices, shirts, and signs, everything else has stayed the same with great vehicle repairs with exceptional customer service.
